Job Description

Duties to include:

  • Check and verify manufactured and purchased products are correct to specification and/or drawing requirements.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for Manufactured and Purchased products
  • Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports  (ISIR) for Manufactured and Purchased products
  • Goods Inwards Inspections of raw materials and purchased products
  • Final batch inspection of manufactured products
  • Carry out periodic Patrol Inspections
  • New product verification
  • Identifying, dealing with and documenting internal and external non-conformities
  • Maintenance and calibration of measuring equipment and gauges
  • Organisation of all externally calibrated measuring equipment and gauges
  • Investigate and resolve, including root cause analysis any quality issues which arise
  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed and quality standards are met with a continuous improvement approach
  • Ensure correct drawings and revisions print out on all work orders
  • Adding and updating inspection recording sheets for all work orders

The candidate:

  • Ability to use windows based PC. MS Excel Word etc
  • Good/reasonable understanding of ISO:9001
  • Must communicate well with others and be self motivated with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to use traditional measuring equipment and gauges. Mics, Verniers etc
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Confident with a  positive and friendly attitude
  • Experience in the same, or similar role (ideally apprentice trained engineer)

This is a new position within the Production department to support the Production & Procurement team.

The rate of pay will be 25K per annum and the suggested hours are:

8am – 4pm Mon-Thursday (Half Hour lunch) (30 hours)

8am – 3:30pm Friday (Half Hour lunch) (7 hours)

An FLT license would also be an advantage.

Total 37 hours.
