We are currently working with a fantastic client that design, manufacture and market a range of precision measuring instruments, which provide essential solutions for every measurement application in modern manufacturing.
They are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer who's aim will be to support both their UK clients, and their worldwide distributors, through service, calibration and technical assistance. The successful candidate will come form a Metrology and Calibration background!
What would you be doing?  
You will be carrying out visits to client sites for scheduled service, calibration and training of products.
You will also attend those emergency breakdown calls!
After your visit to the sites, you will complete site visit reports.
All processes to be completed in line with the company's ISO9001 procedures!
Keeping yourself up to date (detailed knowledge and understanding) of the company's product portfolio
Which may include you attending product specific training.
Assist the customers through the use of your expertise to advise and give guidance when requested.
Receive, answer and resolve service questions over the phone or email when required.
What levels of experience are we looking for?  
Metrology and Calibration experience is CRUCIAL.
Experience in Mechanical and / or Electronic Engineering.
Previous experience of being a Field Service Engineer.
Wide knowledge of mechanical, electrical and software based products.
Good level of academic achievement (degree or equivalent).

The area this Field Service Engineer will cover is above the M4, to the left of the M1 and below a line between Stoke / Derby.

Therefore, we are looking for candidates who ideally live any of the following areas: Dudley (DY), Worchester (WR), Birmingham (B), Coventry (CV), Walsall (WS) and Wolverhampton (WV). Leicester (LE) could also be considered if they are on the western side of the area.

Be aware that this role comes with extensive UK wide visits - including overnight stays (with some foreign travel).
Have a Full Valid (and clean!) UK Driving Licence.
Full time (37.5-hrs per week - Monday-Friday: 08:30-17:00).
Holiday Entitlement: 28 Days
