This role has an emphasis on plating with any welding being positional tacking.

Our client are a Bradford based pressure equipment manufacturer with a great reputation for the quality and reliability of their finished product. We are looking for an apprentice trained Plater (Fabricator/Welder).


Must be able to work under your own initiative and take personal responsibility to produce quality work in an efficient manner. The work involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings together with following Inspection and Test Plans.

The materials they deal in are heavy gauge mild steel along with thinner forms of Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys. Candidates must have previous experience in marking and cutting out cylindrical units together with positioning and setting nozzles/attachments.


They work a 38 hour week over four days (Mon-Thurs) with overtime available some Fridays and weekends (which is paid at an increased hourly rate). The work is varied and interesting as each piece of equipment is bespoke for different projects. The hourly rate for this permanent role will vary between £10.00 to £13.50 depending on experience.

Holiday entitlement is 27 days per year, which includes bank holidays and Christmas shut down periods. (Additional long service days also available). Please note that we are seeking a unique individual who is looking for a rewarding career with lots of potential for development in this role.
