Demand Planner - Gateshead - £26,000 - £32,000 per annum
 
We are in the market for 2 x Demand Planners to join one of our more prestigious clients in the Oil & Gas Sector in Gateshead.

Job Description

As Demand planner, you will be a key member working within Operations. The role will require a dynamic, driven and methodical individual who will be the interface between Sales and Operations Planning. Tasks will consist of, but exceed; coordinating all sales quotations for your product line, taking ownership of daily contract review for product line, coordinating all feedback for customers and joining daily / weekly conference calls with customers on behalf of the product line, and managing the release of forecast in line with customer expectations. This role will require a person with excellent communication and coordination skills, who will engage and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as Buyers, Production staff, Quality control, Assembly staff, Stores personnel and Logistics, and will be part of a closed loop communication within your product team. Your quality information will improve the delivery of goods through the supply chain, to support the site in maximising overall on time delivery performance.  Developing our business goes hand in hand with developing our people’s skills; with the support of the Gateshead management team you will be open to career progression and continued self-development in order to reach personal and business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all company policies surrounding planning, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met
  • Interface between sales and operations planning
  • Coordinate the timely completion and return of all quotes for the product line
  • Coordinate all customer feedback on behalf of the product line
  • Attend all daily / weekly conference calls with key customers and communicate directly to the product line
  • Liaise closely with product line team on all customer demands to ensure schedules are changed in line with customer expectations / supply chain capability
  • Manage the release of the forecast into the MRP system, in line with supply chain capability
  • Create and present milestone plans when required
  • Communicate frequently with Product line team on issues / concerns with regards plan
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Represent the organization in a responsible and professional manner.
  • Compile and Monitor all relevant KPIs, to ensure they are being met.
  • Any other duties that may be required to commensurate with the grade of the job.
