Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - £28k - £35k DOE - Bradford
 
We are recruiting for a world leading developer and manufacturer of static sealing products and solutions for industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, aerospace, defence, utilities, pharmaceuticals and chemical industries.

Their customers include major global enterprises, like BP and Shell, that recognize the reliability of their products and have enabled them to retain their status as industry leaders.
 
They continue to invest in skills and technology together with research and plant infrastructure and have developed a comprehensive product range. Despite being a family run business, they are apart of a group that turns over £400 million a year!
 
They are now in the market for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team, someone who can bring some added value in terms of PPM, Lean Disciplines etc...
 
 
The Role:
  • To carry out various mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair activities within the facility.
  • To provide both proactive maintenance schedules as well as a fast and effective response especially under breakdown incidents.
  • To aid in the continuous improvement of equipment, improving safety, efficiency, changeovers and minimising downtime.
  • Provide maintenance support for critical production machinery from both a mechanical and electrical perspective.
  • Support the expansion of the facility, working with the commissioning and installation of new equipment.
  • Continually undertake training to expand your knowledge of other maintenance disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and machine tools product and HSE.

Qualifications:

  • Holding a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to interpret engineering drawings and experienced in using a variety of electrical test/inspection equipment.
  • An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures is essential.
  • Experience working as a multi-skilled Engineer with the desire to grow your skills.
  • Lean disciplines such as TPM, GMP and Ishikawa would also be useful; evidence of a proactive/preventative mindset rather than being a reactive ‘jobber’.
  • CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) database building/maintenance experience: Ideally Dimo
  • Demonstrate an understanding of engineering drawings
 
Salary is very competitive DOE £28k - £35k. 
39 hours per week
8 am - 4:30 pm (3:30 pm Fridays)
