 Finance Analyst - Montrose - up to £50,000

Job Description

As Finance Analyst working within the Corporate Finance team you will be supporting certain parts of the Rig Technologies (RT) segment.  You will be expected to be the finance business partner to the RA-UK/SSA management team supporting and educating them on finance analyses and initiatives as required; therefore you will already have experience in working with non-finance people.  You will be working to tight deadlines and be expected to work within the appropriate financial controls in line with the companies requirements.  You will liaise with internal and external auditors as required.  You will be a detail-oriented person and should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience. 



  • to assist Management Team with reporting, analysis and presentation, as required, on actual, forecast and plan numbers.
  • To liaise with managers on their input for monthly and annual planning, load and review.
  • to complete submissions of monthly financials including analysis schedules as required.
  • To provide reporting and analysis for the managers to help them better understand and manage their business
  • To review quarterly OES (obsolete stock) calculations
  • To prepare information for outside agency, including but not limited to, EC Sales Listing, National Statistic Returns
  • To liaise with internal and external audit as required in order to meet company reporting deadlines
  • To provide UK Finance Director and UK Senior Finance Analyst with financial information as required.
  • To constantly review for continual improvement, systems  and procedures in relation to financial reporting

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW
  • Previous experience working for an engineering or manufacturing company
  • Previous experience working with multiple stakeholders in a non-finance environment
  • Computer literacy (including excellent command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook & Powerpoint)
  • ERP knowledge
