Engineering Quality Manager - £38 - £42k DOE - Bradford
 

An experienced Quality Manager required for a company based in Bradford who supply their own products into industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, aerospace, defence, utilities, pharmaceuticals and the chemical industries. The company predict a £28m turnover this financial year.
 
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the skills and experience to influence change with leadership. They have a great company ethos and require someone to help steer colleagues through a culture change.
 
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Promote, develop and communicate requirements embodied in the formal ISO 9001, AS 9100 an API Q1 quality management system.    
  • Demonstrate an effective working knowledge of applicable Quality standards and specifications
  • Demonstrate knowledge relating to technical information sources; i.e. specifications, technical standards, etc.
  • Demonstrate effective use of quality management related documents i.e. process and product procedures.
  • Demonstrate effective understanding of measurement techniques and the devices used to determine product conformity to specifications.
  • Demonstrate Technical procurement knowledge relating to measuring equipment and raw material specifications. Provide effective guidance for the purchase of raw materials and services.
  • Provide effective measurements for quality system effectiveness including performance data including internal audits and supplier audits.
  • Perform Customer liaison relating to both complaints and queries relating to specifications, product performance and technical queries.        
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the products, the industry, applications applied by a wide range of customers.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills at an individual level and at a group level.
  • Provide responses to colleague technical queries ensuring that answers are provided to product conformity related questions.
  • Demonstrate leadership relating to quality system deployment and effectiveness.
  • Provide effective training and presentations to pass on key skills, technical knowledge and guidance.
  • Demonstrate coaching skills relating to employee / subordinate development / progression.
  • Demonstrate effective application of company’s disciplinary procedures and codes of conduct
  • Ability to operate a new EMS system which is a Microsoft application
